Overview

The intermediate level of the Degree in Islamic Scholarship  will start from October 2015

Intermediate level is a two year programme. The first year is designed to build on the similar subjects of the Foundation level. Students will cover Islamic theology, Islamic law, spirituality, Quranic studies, hadith, and the Arabic language. The Arabic language module will consist of advanced grammar, poetry, rhetoric and spoken Arabic. The second year of the Intermediate level is composed of three modules focusing primarily on an advanced teaching of the Quran and its explanation (tafsir), Islamic law and jurisprudence (Usul al-fiqh), as well as contemporary legal issues, family law, finance and inheritance.
